SOAS Summer Schools last for four days. During each summer school students attend lectures by leading academics, take part in a debate, engage in study skills sessions and receive personal statement advice. Participants meet and work with current students and have a Q&A session with recent graduates.
Are you a budding historian? Would you like to gain more insight into studying History at university? If you enjoy analysing facts and exploring sources then be a part of the SOAS History Summer School.
During the summer school you will attend lectures by leading academics, debate key issues, engage in study skills sessions to sharpen up your critical thinking ability and find out about the UCAS process and how to make your personal statement stand out. You will also meet and work with current SOAS students as well as getting to ask recent graduates about their experiences.
This summer school is for students in year 12 attending state schools and colleges within the UK. Priority should be given to those who would be the first in their family to attend university in the UK; this is a widening participation activity designed to give students a first-class experience of study at HE level.
There are a limited number of places available for the summer school and a mixture of academic and widening participation criteria will be used to allocate places.
To apply for the summer school please complete an online application form by Friday April 3rd 2020. If you wish to apply to more than one summer school you only need to complete the application form once and indicate your order of preference.
